About Girl Scouts of Maine
Today's girls...
If they can think it, they can do it in Girl Scouts!

At Girl Scouts of Maine, we believe that providing leadership experiences for girls is what makes Girl Scouting unique. Our goal is to help every girl find out who she can be and what she can do, wherever she chooses to put her energies. While a girl’s leadership journey is as individual as she is, no matter which path she takes, every girl will discover herself and her world, learn to connect with others, and take action to improve life around her.

With over 16,000 girl and adult members, Girl Scouts of Maine is the statewide organization dedicated solely to girls.  In partnership with committed adults, we provide a wide variety of enriching activities that give girls the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that make them leaders right now and for the rest of their lives.

Girl Scouts of Maine is guided by the Girl Scout Promise and Law which is shared by every member of Girl Scouting worldwide. The Girl Scout Promise is the way Girl Scouts agree to act every day toward one another and other people, and the Law outlines a way to act towards one another and the world.
The Girl Scout Promise
On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.

The Girl Scout Mission
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

The Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be:
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I say and do, and to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.
